Former Wauwatosa police officer Joseph Mensah has been cleared, again, in a deadly 2016 officer-involved shooting.
Two special prosecutors yesterday said they will not bring charges against Mensah for the shooting death of Jay Anderson Jr. in a Tosa park back in 2016. Anderson’s family said there are unanswered questions about the shooting, and a Milwaukee County judge said there was probable cause to look into charges. Investigators say Mensah shot and killed Anderson after Anderson lunged for a gun in his car.
The special prosecutors say they showed the evidence to a mock jury, who said Mensah acted in self defense.
