We’re expecting a ruling on ballot drop boxes in Wisconsin this week.
A judge in Madison has a hearing scheduled for the case from the Thomas More Society that is challenging the use of drop boxes in the 2020 election. Lawyers say the drop boxes are not allowed under state law, and say Madison’s use of them breaks the law. The judge questioned that argument earlier this month, saying Wisconsin’s Election Commission told local election clerks that the drop boxes were allowed in 2020. The case will likely ultimately be decided by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
