Wisconsin Republicans aren’t officially endorsing any candidate for governor but Rebecca Kleefisch is in the lead.
At the state’s Republican party convention in Middleton yesterday delegates failed to bring enough votes to the table to fully endorse any of the candidates. Rebecca Kleefisch got the most support with nearly 55-percent of the delegates’ votes. Despite the lack of an official endorsement, in a statement Kleefisch thanked Wisconsin Republican activists for supporting her efforts to put together “the infrastructure necessary to beat Tony Evers this fall.”
