There could be new vehicle barriers in Waukesha before the city’s next parade.
The city council last night approved 800 thousand-dollars for mobile vehicle barriers. The barriers spring-up, and are designed to stop speeding cars and trucks on the spot. The idea comes, of course, after police say Darrell Brooks Jr. sped through Waukesha’s Christmas Parade, killing six people and injuring more than 60 others. The hope is to have the barriers in-place in time for Waukesha’s Memorial Day Parade.
