Homeless people in La Crosse are getting another month at a local hotel courtesy of the city.
The city council last night agreed to continue their arrangement with the local Econo Lodge to house the homeless. Originally, the plan was to pay for three more months of rooms, but the city council agreed to a one month extension. Council member Mackenzie Mindel says they need some time to figure out what to do with the homeless after the end of April.
