The man convicted to raping and killing an nine-year-old girl back in 1973 will not be getting out of prison.
A judge last week denied 73-year-old Gerald Turner’s latest request to leave the Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Center. Turner was sentenced to 38-years behind bars for the Halloween night rape and murder of Lisa Ann French in Fond du Lac. Prosecutors say Turner is a sexually violent person and needs to be kept locked away.
