It took six hours and a blast of tear gas to end a standoff in Sauk County last night.
Police say everything started in the town of Sumpter about 2 p.m. That’s where a man was holed-up in a trailer and making threats. He told police that he had a gun. Sauk County’s SWAT team was called in. After hours of talking, officers fired tear gas into the trailer and went in and arrested the man. No one was hurt. Authorities say a laundry list of charges is coming in the case.
