UW-Eau Claire is trying to figure out how to spend its nine million-dollar workforce development grant.
University leaders held a roundtable discussion yesterday, Governor Tony Evers announced the grant back in December, the idea is to help train workers for jobs in healthcare and social services for rural Wisconsin. No one is quite sure just what the program will look like.
The Chippewa Valley Technical College also got a grant from the governor in December. CVTC is figuring out how to spend its 10-million-dollars as well.
