There is another candidate for the statehouse in Eau Claire.
Altoona School Board member Hillarie Roth yesterday announced her campaign for the State Assembly. She is looking to replace state Rep. Jesse James, who is looking to run for Kathy Bernier’s soon-to-be open seat in the State Senate. Karen Hurd of Fall Creek, who is also a Republican, announced her campaign last week. Roth and Hurd will face-off in the primary in August.
