Doctors are telling people to stay at home if they can’t get an appointment to get a coronavirus test.
UW-Health’s Doctor Jeff Pothof says isolating at home is better than trying to show-up at a testing site, or show-up in the ER. Many testing facilities across the state are backed-up, and people are waiting hours to get a test.
Pothof said while it’s frustrating to not be able to get a test, he said it’s dangerous to go to an emergency room and possibly expose other people.
