Prosecutors in Chippewa County are clearing a deputy in an October officer-involved shooting.
The D.A. in Chippewa Falls yesterday said Sergeant Martin Folczyk shot and killed a suspect in self defense. Investigators say Folczyk shot and killed Lance Stelzer after Stelzer attacked him with hornet spray.
Stelzer’s family and friends said he talked about committing suicide by cop not long before the shooting.
