Waukesha County’s state legislative delegation wants Milwaukee County DA John Chisholm removed over the parade deaths.
Senate President Chris Kapenga and 15 other Republicans sent a letter to Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers accusing Chisholm of dereliction of duty. They believe Chisholm should resign after his office recommended a thousand dollars bail for the man later suspected of killing six while driving into the Waukesha Christmas Parade.
The DA said last week an inexperienced prosecutor who didn’t have access to a public safety review made the bail suggestion.
