Public health managers in Chippewa County say they don’t have the capacity to test for the Omicron variant.
County public health director Angela Weideman says they can’t run a genomic sequencing on the coronavirus variants. She said they didn’t have the capacity to run the same test for the Delta variant either. Weideman says the state’s Department of Health Services is the group that does that kind of work.
