Dane County will not be ending its mask order at the end of the month after all.
Public Health Madison and Dane County yesterday extended the county’s mask requirement until January 3rd. Originally, the plan was to allow the mask mandate to expire this month. PHMDC director Janel Heinrich says the specter of holiday travel has them extending the mask requirement past the New Year’s weekend. The new order is a little less strict. PHMDC says people can take their masks off inside, but only if everyone is vaccinated.
