Researchers at Vanderbilt University say they’re working with NASA engineers on developing airborne taxi cabs.
A Vanderbilt computer science professor says they hope to create vehicles called octocopters that take off and land vertically and can move six to eight people. Vanderbilt is one of several universities involved in the two-and-a-half-million-dollar project. The professor says they could have prototypes ready for testing in the next five years.
