On Saturday, December 8, 2018 at approximately 1:28am, a Lake Hallie Police Officer was on patrol when he observed a White Chevy Suburban drive past a stop sign at a high rate of speed, failing to obey the traffic sign.
The vehicle was driven on 30th Avenue through the stop sign controlling traffic at the CTH-OO intersection. The officer activated his emergency lights and siren and attempted to stop the vehicle. The Suburban did not
stop, and the vehicle speed increased as it traveled north on 120th Street. The Suburban fled to 11928 35th Avenue where the operator exited the vehicle and attempted to get inside of his residence.
36 year old Scott M. Weidler was apprehended and arrested for Fleeing and Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated. He was also arrested for violating Felony bond from previous offenses in Lake Hallie committed in the past week and two additional open cases in Eau Claire County stemming back to late November, including violation of a No Contact bond, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Bond violation, Child Neglect due to Drug Use and Possession of Methamphetamines.
