The third week of November is Winter Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin.
Weather Service predictions for the 2021-2022 Winter show an “equal chance” of having above or below
average temperatures and a “leaning above” chance of above average precipitation. The La Niña weather
pattern is expected to return for the second Winter in a row. Winter 2020-2021 was also a La Niña where we
saw about average snowfall; but we also saw a week-long snap of below zero temperatures and wind chill in
late February 2021.
