One-hundred-million-dollars will be made available for the next round of the state’s Broadband Expansion Grant Program.
Governor Tony Evers said today the broadband grants have provided or will provide more than 300-thousand homes and businesses with access to new or improved service. The governor says the coronavirus pandemic further deepened the digital divide in the state and underscored the need for high-speed affordable internet in every household. The Public Service Commission is authorized to award the funding for 94 projects in 42 counties and three tribal communities.
