Governor Tony Evers is calling on Republicans to take up the legislative redistricting maps prepared by the People’s Maps Commission.
Evers says those legislative maps reflect multiple rounds of public review and input including nearly two-thousand submissions from Wisconsinites in 68 of the state’s 72 counties. The governor says when he created the People’s Maps Commission, he said it was time to take the fight for redistricting to the people of the state and not consultants, lawyers or elected officials.
