Packers Switch Stations, Look to Sell Stock

Packer fans in southeast Wisconsin will find the team on a new radio station next year.

The team and iHeartMedia yesterday announced that Packer broadcasts will be on 97-point-three The Game starting next season. The Packers are leaving WTMJ radio where they’ve been for nearly a century. The move won’t change who’s calling the games, Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren will stay in the broadcast booth. The Packers say they are excited to welcome a new station for fans in and around Milwaukee.

In other news from the Pack, the Packers are a step closer to selling more stock.

The NFL yesterday approved the team’s plan to sell stock to raise money for Lambeau Field renovations. There are other regulatory hurdles, however, before Green Bay can sell the stock. The Packers last sold more stock back in 2011, the team raised 67 million-dollars from that sale.
