It’s time to get to work on the Christmas Village in Irvine Park.
The city’s parks department is looking for volunteers to help string the 60 thousand lights that go into the Christmas Village. Opening night is a little more than one month away. The Parks Department’s Missy Prieve says anyone can volunteer, from kids up to grandparents. The lights at Irvine Park will turn on Thanksgiving night, and stay on through Christmas.
