Federal prosecutors are pushing ahead with charges against two of the Afghans at Fort McCoy.
The U.S. Attorney’s office is charging one of the men, 20-year-old Bahrullah Noori, with sexual assault of a minor. Investigators say he raped someone under 16. The second man, 32-year-old Mohammad Haroon Imaad, is charged with strangling his wife. Both men are due in court in Madison later today.
The charges came just days after Wisconsin Congressman Tom Tiffany pressed the Biden Administration for answers on child brides and the treatment of Afghan women at the fort.
