The State Department of Health confirms the number of COVID-19 cases statewide has topped 700-thousand.
The 7-Day average continues to rise and has increased by 13-hundred cases a day in just the last week. Health Services reported 15-hundred-and-18 cases yesterday with a test positivity rate over eight-percent. Two deaths were reported yesterday boosting the death toll to seven-thousand-837. Meanwhile, a new COVID-19 testing site is opening in Appleton. The site is at the former Best Buy building in the 24-hundred-block of South Kensington Drive.
Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is needed although pre-registration is encouraged. The testing site is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Tuesday through mid-December beginning tomorrow.
