Wisconsin’s attorney general is warning of an increase in ransomware scams.
A-G Josh Kaul yesterday said the FBI has handled 41 complaints about ransomware in Wisconsin so far this year. Last year, the FBI handled 30 cases all year. Kaul says scammers are taking advantage of the fact that more people are doing more from home. He says beefing-up your internet and computer safety programs will go a long way toward keeping your information safe.
