Saturday, September 11, at 8:00am the Chippewa Valley Museum will rededicate it’s newly restored flag pole with a flag raising in memory of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the U.S.
The VFW Post 305 has organized a color guard to complete a formal flag raising and also supported 25% of the cost of this project. The public are welcome to visit Chippewa Valley Museum’s front lawn and reflect on the 20 years that have passed and celebrate the newly restored flag pole. Not only did the flag pole get scraped, sanded and painted, but a new solar light has been added extending the opportunities the Chippewa Valley Museum will be able to raise the flag.
“As a veteran we are Members of The United States Armed Forces Veterans we Salute, Honor and Respect our service Members – Past, Present and Future!,” says VFW Post 305 member and Chippewa Valley Museum long-term volunteer, Larry Motzar.
