There’s a question about who is in charge at one of the Department of Natural Resources’s boards.
Republican board chairman Fred Prehn is refusing to step down until the Wisconsin Senate approves his replacement. That’s allowed by state law. But the Republican-controlled Senate has not yet scheduled a hearing for his replacement, Democrat Sandra Naas. The stalemate means some of Governor Evers plans for the DNR are on hold. There’s no word when the stalemate may end.
