The Republicans who are drawing Wisconsin’s next political map can continue to work with their own lawyers.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court yesterday ruled that lawmaker do not have to cut ties with the lawyers they’ve hired to help with redistricting. Two other judges had said Republicans don’t have the power to hire outside legal counsel for the remap. The high court’s ruling is temporary. The justices say they will make a final decision in a couple of months.
