The push for a civilian oversight panel for law enforcement in La Crosse County isn’t going away.
The County Executive Committee yesterday approved a resolution asking for a study committee to look at the possibility of creating a new board that would oversee law enforcement agencies. Only Supervisor Andrea Richmond voted against the idea. She says there’s no need for a county panel. She says La Crosse already has a Police and Fire Commission, and it hasn’t seen but a few complaints over the past few years.
