President Biden used La Crosse’s bus terminal to tout his infrastructure plan for the nation yesterday and also made a pit stop at a popular sweet spot.
During the speech, Biden stayed the script, saying his bipartisan infrastructure agreement is a step forward for working families across America.
The President came to La Crosse to try and sell his one-point-two-trillion-dollar proposal to build roads and bridges, and invest billions more in other projects.
Biden says the agreement will ensure high-speed internet is available to every American family, including in rural areas.
The plan may be dead, however. Democrats on Capitol Hill are demanding the infrastructure proposal be tied to an even bigger spending package.
After his speech, the President headed to the Pearl Ice Cream Parlor for two scoops. Incase you are curious what a president orders on a warm summer day, we have word it was cookies and cream on a cone.
