We’re getting the rest of the story about that search for two armed and dangerous men in Bayside earlier this month.
Federal prosecutors say Richard Chavez and Daniel Rodriguez-Lara, both from California, were trying to smuggle 16 kilos of fentanyl into the Milwaukee area. Federal agents got a tip about the drugs after a bust in Kansas. They were following Chavez and Rodriguez-Lara back on June 17th when the two bolted. That led to the shelter in place order. Agents eventually arrested them both, and they are now facing life in prison on drug charges.
