The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning is teaming up with other states to crack down on speeders.
The new “Great Lakes, High Stakes” effort with continue through the weekend in an effort to reduce highway traffic deaths due to speeding. Officials say that nearly 11-hundred people were killed on Michigan’s roads last year which was nearly 100 more deaths than 2019. Police in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota are also part of the program.
