A new UW clinic is helping victims of domestic abuse navigate the legal process. The UW-Madison Law School is launching a program that will help victims get a restraining order against their abuser.
Starting in February, the VOCA Restraining Order Clinic will allow law students to represent domestic abuse victims during injunction hearings in court. The program will be available to clients in Dane County initially, but there are plans to expand it to Sauk, Jefferson and Rock counties as well.
