Wisconsin’s Republican U.S. Senator says no one should be required to get the coronavirus vaccine.
Senator Ron Johnson wrote an op-ed last week that said vaccine mandates would be a mistake. He says one of the fundamental pieces of healthcare is that people have a right to choose what care they receive, even if that means choosing not to get care. Johnson says no one should be pressured, coerced, or fear reprisal for refusing the coronavirus vaccine. Many businesses in the state and some small colleges are requiring vaccinations before people can come back to work or come back to class this fall.
