There are enough lifeguards to open Eau Claire’s Fairfax Pool.
The pool opened for the summer over the weekend. Eau Claire Recreation manager Dawn Comte says the weekend weather drew a large crowd. Many pools in many cities across Wisconsin are not opening this year because of a lifeguard shortage. Fairfax pool will be open from 1 to 7 p.m. each day.
