On the state level, Wisconsin could be in-line for another large drop in coronavirus vaccinations.
The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported that just over 69-thousand vaccine doses have been handed-out so far this week. Those numbers will increase as the statewide count comes-in over the next few days, but it’s clear that a lot fewer people are getting the vaccine. Wisconsin’s vaccinations peaked in early April and have fallen steadily since.
We’ll show you different sides so you can decide.
In a mix of politics and public health, Wisconsin’s Republican U.S. Senator says there is nothing wrong with people not getting the coronavirus shot.
Johnson wrote in an op-ed for the Washington Examiner that people should make informed decisions about their health. Johnson says he’s not getting the vaccine because he already had the virus. Johnson says he spoke with his doctor before making the decision. He said other people should speak with their doctors about their health as well.
