Health department officials confirm 721 new COVID-19 cases statewide over the last 24 hours.
That pushes the total number of cases to 600-thousand-297. There were eleven additional deaths reported today which raises the death toll to six-thousand-850.
When it comes to the younger populations, several vaccinators in the state are getting ready to inoculate kids between the ages of 12 and 15-years-old.
Fitchburg Family Pharmacy has started to schedule that age group for the Pfizer vaccine as they await FDA approval for the vaccine to be approved for young teens. That approval is expected as early as next week. UW Health says it will open its website very quickly once authorization is approved and SSM Health says it expects to move quickly to offer appointments as well once the FDA approves the vaccine for the younger age group.
