An April report from the Wisconsin Policy Forum shows the state did much better than it’s neighbors for jobs lost during the pandemic.
The data shows Wisconsin’s employment loss percentage was the lowest among five Midwest states. Wisconsin had the lowest drop in total jobs from September of 2019 to September 2020. Iowa is second, followed by Minnesota, Illinois, and Michigan.
