A COVID vaccination clinic is opening in Barron County.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says the clinic will be on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s campus in Rice Lake. It’ll be able to administer between 200-and-400-shots per day. The vaccine site opens Tuesday, April 20th at 11 a.m.
Anyone with a COVID vaccine appointment expecting to get the Johnson and Johnson shot should be advised that those appointments are canceled.
The Eau Claire City-County Health Department says they were asked to cancel the appointments and keep the vaccine in storage until further notice from the Centers for Disease Control. The health department says anyone who’s gotten the J&J vaccine in the last three weeks should watch for symptoms like severe headache and shortness of breath.
