The CDC is relaxing its COVID restriction guidance for schools. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said the recommendations are based on evidence and facts.
She said middle and high school students in high COVID transmission areas should continue to remain six feet apart. Dr. Walensky also stressed the importance of getting vaccinated. The CDC says teachers and other adult staff members should continue to abide by the six-foot recommendations, with facemasks.
