Electric cars could be the future for Foxconn in Wisconsin.
The company yesterday announced a new partnership with car maker Fisker. No one is saying just where the cars will be made or how many will be produced. But the idea is that Foxconn can use its sprawling manufacturing campus in Mount Pleasant. Foxconn originally planned to make iPhone screens at the plant, but later shifted production to other LCD screens, then to a ventilator side project. Foxconn yesterday said the new plant is a hub and has attracted interest for its ‘next-gen technological product design and smart manufacturing.’
