The Murray Police Department in Paducah, Kentucky says a teenager from Wisconsin made a false report and called in a fake bomb threat to Murray High School.
The school was placed on lockdown Monday after a claim of shots fired at the school was called in to police. Then Tuesday a bomb threat prompted the decision to hold virtual classes the rest of this week. An extensive investigation led police to 19-year-old Kya Nelson of Racine.
He is in custody in the Racine County Jail awaiting transfer to Kentucky.
