There may be another number included in Wisconsin’s election returns next month.
The state’s Elections Commission yesterday unanimously agreed to have local election managers include the number of outstanding absentee ballots in their counts. Commissioners say they want to avoid any confusion in what is expected to be a close election.
Absentee ballots are due back in Wisconsin by 8 p.m. on Election Day, though some local clerks say it could take a while to count them all.
