The Wisconsin Health Department is urging people to start the week planning to get a flu shot.
The CDC estimates the flu kills about 36-thousand people a year in the United States. There were record hospitalizations for the flu last year in Wisconsin and it was one of the worst years for flu in about a decade. The state does not currently track adult deaths, but three children died from flu in Wisconsin this past season.
