A son allegedly kills his father and severely injures his mother in an apparent attack on both of his parents over the weekend in Hayward.
It was on Saturday, May 23rd just before 1 in the afternoon when the Sawyer County Communications Center received a 911 call regarding a domestic incident that involved one person being deceased at a residence located on Hinton Avenue in Hayward..
When arriving on scene, law enforcement located a male victim identified as 72-year-old Thomas L. Farnsworth of St. Paul Minnesota deceased from an apparent stab wound. A second victim, 65-year-old Juli A. Farnsworth of St. Paul Minnesota was located with severe facial injuries and lacerations and she was airlifted to a hospital, it is unknown at this time as to the extent of the injuries or her current medical condition.
Law enforcement took 34-year-old Peter D. Farnsworth,of Rocky Ford, Colorado into custody. He is reported to be the son of the victims and is currently being held in the Sawyer County Jail on charges of First-Degree Intentional Homicide, Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide and Substantial Battery.
