Governor Tony Evers is directing some funding towards our farmers.
The governor yesterday announced a 50 million-dollar farm aid package. Farmers can apply for direct payments through the state’s Department of Agriculture. The governor hopes the money will ‘jump-start’ the supply chain in the state.
In addition to the 50 million for farmers, the governor yesterday announced a plan to spend 15 million-dollars on the state’s food banks.
