UNEMPLOYMENT BACKLOG AND FRUSTRATIONS GROW IN WI

The line to get unemployment benefits in the state of Wisconsin is growing.

The State’s Department of Workforce Development yesterday said it is working through a backlog of 140 thousand claims. DWD Secretary Caleb Frostman says the claims are on-hold because there are not enough workers to process them. He says DWD is working on that, he hopes to hire about 100 more people and turn to an outside company to help as well.
