MONEY POURS IN FOR WESTERN WI FLOOD DAMAGE

About a million-and-a-half dollars from Washington D.C. is coming to western Wisconsin to fight future flooding.

Congressman Ron Kind announced that he secured the money last week. The one-point-six-million is headed to La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon counties to deal with spring flooding there.

Specifically, the money will go to the Coon Creek and West Fork Kickapoo watersheds, where floods in 2018 saw six dams either breached or flooded-over.
