The snow is starting to pile up in west-central and northwest Wisconsin. According to the National Weather Service, about six inches of snow has fallen in northwest Eau Claire with higher amounts to the west and north. About ten inches has fallen in Bloomer. A winter weather warning will be in effect in Eau Claire until noon.
Eau Claire Transit is running fewer buses today due to the winter weather. City officials say there will only be 14 buses operating the rest of the week. Buses will have a weather delay message displayed if there are delays or re-routs. Schedules are posted on the transit’s Double-Map app and website.
