A Chippewa Falls man is getting a light jail sentence after being convicted of attempted second-degree child sexual assault.
A criminal complaint says an officer posed as a 14-year-old girl online and got 41-year-old Terry Stipek to send nude pictures of himself. Stipek is then accused of driving to the Chippewa Valley YMCA to meet her for sex, where he was arrested. Stipek pleaded no contest and was sentenced last Friday to one year in jail but got nine months imposed and stayed, meaning he’ll only serve that time if he violates his probation.
