Chippewa Flushes Out Details on Sewer Upgrades

Work is set to begin on a major sewer maintenance project in Chippewa Falls.

This comes after the City Council approved a two-million dollar bid to replace and upgrade a sewer siphon that runs beneath Duncan Creek.  City officials say construction will occasionally require closures on the waterway while crews complete the work.  The sewer line is considered a key piece of the city’s wastewater infrastructure and needed significant maintenance.

Officials hope the project will be finished by the end of the year.
